A Wedding and A Tour of Italy at First Thursday Gallery Walk in Downtown Muncie!

First Thursday Gallery Walk in Downtown Muncie

The arts come alive in Downtown Muncie every First Thursday! Meet your friends downtown for the monthly art walk, scheduled this month for June 3, from 5 to 8pm.

All the downtown art galleries simultaneously launch their monthly exhibits with extended hours on the first Thursday evenings of every month. Stroll the streets, meet the artists, enjoy live music and find free refreshments at nearly every stop.

This month’s First Thursday will feature an open house at downtown’s newest redeveloped historic building at 111 E. Adams Street. Explore the first phase of the renovation of the Goddard Building and see the new location for the Downtown Development office and the Muncie Urban Enterprise Association. Hosts Kyle and Brandon Mundell will be on hand to greet visitors and show the completed work.

Also new to this month’s First Thursday event – White River Landing will have beautiful custom hand made jewelry on display and for sale by local artist Briana Floor.

Most of our specialty shops downtown keep extended hours during First Thursday, and all our restaurants and pubs will be open late and ready to serve you. So grab your friends, head downtown, and join the hundreds celebrating local arts and culture in Muncie’s historic downtown district!
